The Pause Project is a cutting edge tool that brings the dangers of teenage drinking and driving to the forefront. Promoting one word, Pause, as a means to get teenagers to Pause and think about their actions and the consequences that follow. Creating awareness to the dangers of teenage drinking and driving is the first step to preventing senseless accidents and tragedies. The Pause Project is a tool for making this change.

• Teenage drivers are nine times more likely to get into an accident

• In a national survey conducted in 2011, 24% of teens reported that, within the previous month, they had ridden with a driver who had been drinking alcohol

• 60 percent of all teen deaths in automobile accidents are alcohol-related

What can be done to reduce these senseless tragedies? Fortunately a lot, and The Pause Project offers an effective way to show that these outcomes are avoidable and are not random occurances. The Pause Project will consist of a movie that can serve as a stand alone movie or can be used to supplement, compliment, or replace a live mock car crash. Additional content will also be available to assist with the implementation of strategies to make the project more impactful and effective.

The pause project can be sponsored by any business or organization at local, state or national levels. The uses and applications for The Pause Project film are endless. To learn how you can support or bring The Pause Project to your area, visit the DONATE orCONTACT page.
